I wanted to tell Stories like that!

I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, where I developed an obsession with everything creepy and crawly, forcing my mom to constantly check my pants pockets and the bathtub for any new friends I may have brought home.

I’ve been telling stories since the 3rd grade, when I built a diorama and told the story of Doctor Doolittle to kindergarten classes at my school for extra credit. I wrote my first short story for an 8th-grade English assignment about a Coup d'état against the U.S. government that involved using clones of key federal government cabinet members.

My true epiphany for spinning yarns, however, didn’t bloom until after I saw Star Wars in 1978, and as I left the theater, I remarked, “I want to tell stories like that.”

A few decades later, I’m building my dream, writing tales of supernatural and psychological horror that explore deeper spiritual conflicts; stories where sin, fear, and grief meet the possibility of grace, weaving my faith into my fiction, exploring what evil is, where redemption can be found, and how light still speaks, even in the darkest story.

And though I know better, I still can’t go to sleep without making sure the closet doors are closed and nothing is hiding under the bed.

We are the haunted and the hopeful.

The sinners. The seekers. The storytellers.

At Broken Mirror Press, we write in blood and grace. We tell tales where sin devours, shadows whisper, and demons prowl, but where faith still casts light in forgotten corners. Ours are not safe stories. They ache. They burn. They break.

We believe horror is not godless. It is a cry for meaning. And in every cry, there is a chance for mercy and redemption.

We twist fairy tales, fracture legends, and break mirrors to reveal the truth beneath. For behind every reflection lies a reckoning—and the possibility of redemption.

Welcome to Broken Mirror Press.

Come for the fear. Stay for the Light.
